Dealing With Anger And Resentment In Marriage Part 1

Dealing With Anger And Resentment In Marriage Part 1

1. Never Punish

Do not punish someone when you become angry, even though this seems like an easy way to deal with someone’s negative behavior.

Did your teenager not finish their chores? Ground them for 6 weeks!

Did your wife forget to purchase the items on your list even though you reminded her countless times?

Get mad at her as much as you can!

Does punishing your partner, spouse or even other family members get the results that you hope for?

Punishing someone is a sorry way to encourage behavior to be positive and it actually makes the person act more negatively in other situations.

Instead of getting so angry when your daughter brings home bad grades, try to figure out ways to reward her for her positive behavior.

If she fails to meet your agreements, take away certain privileges and fun, but do not make this the biggest part of your personal interaction.
